This antenna is specifically made to be installed vertically, with the elements perpendicular to the ground. This orientation sets the beam to vertical polarization which is ideal for operations with handheld, mobile and repeater stations.
Each 2 Meter FM Yagi driven element is fed with an efficient beta match. Each parasitic element is solid 3/16 in. aluminum rod mounted through the boom. Their boom clamp accepts up to a 2 inch OD mast.
