MFJ 1898A is a Portable Telescopic (Collapsible) 7-30 MHz + 50 MHz Portable Antennas that can easily collapse down to two sections, this antenna will easily fit into a backpack or Go-Bag for POTA, SOTA and other portable operations.
Capable of operating from 7 - 30 MHz, and will handle up to 125W PEP on SSB with a reasonably low SWR.
The MFJ-1898A measures a sleek 1.25 x 24 in. when fully collapsed and disassembled and 36 in. with the 2 sections connected. Fully extending the stainless steel telescoping whip makes these antennas a sizeable 81 in. long and they are simple to tune due to their built-in tapped tuning section base which unscrews to reveal a nifty tuning chart that's like a ruler. The lower section is constructed of durable fiber-reinforced plastic with a 3/8-24 in. threaded connector for connecting to a ground spike or even a magnetic antenna mount base (ground spike and magnet mount not included).
